The ADA4927-2YCPZ-R7 is a fully differential amplifier optimized for precision instrumentation applications using high frequency and wide dynamic range signals. The combination of high frequency, wide dynamic range, audio grade distortion characteristics and TDM interface capability makes the ADA4927 ideal for a wide range of instrumentation, measurement and control system applications.
The ADA4927 is designed with a balanced input and output configuration, which minimizes common-mode induced noise and distortion. A series feedback network provides superior suppression of out of band switching and switching transients. The ADA4927 operates from a wide supply range of +4.5V to +18V, which allows operation from most portable battery powered devices as well as from a nominal +5/±15V supplies.
The ADA4927-2YCPZ-R7 offers low peak-to-peak output noise, low distortion performance and the ability to interface with the major audio TDMs, such as I2S. It also features a dual bandwidth, gain bandwidth product of 350MHz, making it ideal for communications, instrumentation and audio applications requiring wideband operation and wide dynamic range.
The ADA4927 exhibits high fidelity over a wide range of signal levels that is suitable for audio applications. These include high fidelity sound systems, equalizers, and mixing consoles. The wide bandwidth of the ADA4927 allows it to drive both frequency and acoustic speakers up to and beyond 1 kHz with excellent linearity. This makes it ideal for a wide variety of audio applications including multi-channel audio systems and home theater amplifiers.
The ADA4927 operates from a single-ended 5V supply and has an internal voltage reference that is designed to operate at that supply voltage. An on-chip voltage reference adjustment resistor provides for adjustment of the output level. The internal current sources in the ADA4927 provide an input impedance of 9.4kΩ. This means that the device can be used with a wide variety of sources and the internal reference circuit prevents any power supply-related noise from being introduced at the output.
