Analog Front End (AFE) devices are used in data acquisition systems to convert analog signals into digital data for processing. The ADC is also equipped with a 60Hz notch filter to reduce any power line interference in the analog input.
Finally, the digital signal processing stage uses a high-performance 64-bit floating-point processor to process the digital output from the ADC. The processor is also used for calibration and for configuring the filters and gains of the device. The digital output from the processor is then output to the user via a serial communication interface.
