The EVAL-ADAS3022EDZ Evaluation Board is specifically designed to rapidly evaluate the ADAS3022-2A (an accurate 16-bit, 2-channel, 500 MSPS + sample rate analog-to-digital converter) from Analog Devices. The board is capable of operating at either the Fast Forward Aperture (FFA) sampling rate of 500 MSPS + or the Continuous Time Aperture (CTA) sampling rate of 40 MSPS +. It includes the necessary components to support the various signal conditioning components: Low-Pass Filters (LPFs) which improve the signal-to-noise ratio, High-Pass Filters (HPFs) which help reduce aliasing effects, Gain stages for optimizing performance, Noise cancelling & anti-aliasing circuits to reduce background noise, and other components to enhance the performance of the board.Application Field and Working Principle of the EVAL-ADAS3022EDZ
The EVAL-ADAS3022EDZ Evaluation Board is a highly versatile board which can be used for a wide variety of applications from consumer, industrial, aerospace to automotive. It is especially suitable for applications where low-level signal processing is required such as communication systems, satellite down link or receiver systems, imaging systems, audio systems, and sensor systems.The board’s working principle is based on the Analog-to-Digital conversion process. The ADC Board receives the analog signal and converts it into digital form. It then sends the digital signal to an external Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for further analysis. The output of the ADC is a 2 channel, 16-bit digital data stream. The ADC includes several features such as noise canceling, anti-aliasing, and gain ordering algorithms to improve the accuracy of the signal.The ADC Board’s advanced signal processing components are able to provide improved signal performance over a wide range of input conditions. It comes with a wide range of adjustable options for controlling the analog signal input so that it can accommodate a variety of applications. The board also includes a wide range of features such as temperature compensation, low power operation, power sequencing, RoHS compliance, and integrated power dissipater sides.Conclusion
