ADF7030-1BCPZN-RL is a single-chip radio transceiver IC that integrates a 200-mA transmitter, a 130-mA receiver, and up to 200 MHz of RF signal processing capability. This product is designed to meet the application requirements in radio frequency (RF) communication and remote control systems. This product has a wide variety of applications and also offers sophisticated features which enable it to be used in applications such as cell phones, satellite radio, and remote control systems.

The ADF7030-1BCPZN-RL includes a low power consumption and low phase noise synthesizer, along with a dual conversion super heterodyne receiver. It supports both digital modulation of up to 200 Mbps PHY, and FSK based modulation of up to 32 Kbps. The receiver utilizes a high speed register controlled pre-amplifier, and full off-air channel selectivity. The synthesizer includes a built in and programmable range of programmable frequency dividers, oscillators, mixers, filters, and balanced phase locked loops. It also has a phase-locked loop for easy frequency setting.

The ADF7030-1BCPZN-RL provides both transmit and receive capability, and offers a very low power consumption rate of 0.45mW/MHz. It also offers an integrated transmit/receive switch which allows for use in both transmission and reception applications. The receiver section of this product supports advanced signal processing techniques such as IQ demodulation, de-spreading, de-clocking, dynamic frequency offset estimation, automatic gain control, time and frequency synchronization, and cyclic redundancy check. The transmitter section of this product supports up to 10 dBm ( 0 dBm single ended peak ) output power.

The transmitter and receiver sections of the ADF7030-1BCPZN-RL are based on a direct conversion architecture. This ensures low distortion and very low levels of phase-noise. The device also supports a wide range of digital modulation techniques such as FSK, GMSK, MSK, and BPSK.

The transmitter uses a VCO and a phase frequency detector to control the frequency of the transmitter signal.
