The ADG708BRU is part of Analog Devices applications of interface - analog switches, multiplexers, demultiplexers. This device is an 8-channel monolithic CMOS analog multiplexer and provides a very high level of isolation between the input and output channels of 24dB. This isolation level is achieved by using DARLINGTON analog switches to achieve a low 3ohm resistance between the input and output channels.
The device also has a low current consumption of only about 10μA max, making it ideal for use in ultra low-power applications. The ADG708BRU operates from 0°C to 70°C temperature range and can be easily implemented in any system. It is available in a variety of packages such as SOIC, TSSOP, and a vacuum sealed package.
The device has two distinct modes of operation: one-channel-open mode and all-channel-open mode. In the one-channel-open mode, the ADG708BRU operates as a standard multiplexer, allowing a single, high-impedance analog signal to be switched between eight, low- impedance analog signal outputs. In the all-channel-open mode, the device operates as a true demultiplexer, allowing a single, low-impedance analog signal to be routed to eight, high-impedance analog signal outputs.
The device\'s switch-control inputs allow the user to select the desired channel via an external control signal.
