The ADM1070ART-REEL7 is a controller designed for Hot Swap applications. It is an integrated Hot Swap Controller, designed to provide power control, current monitoring and over-current protection in applications such as rackmount server and storage systems. The ADM1070ART-REEL7 is a part of the ADM1070 Hot Swap Controller family of devices. It includes a slew rate limited Mosfet driver, a 5V synchronous regulator, over current detection and protection circuit, latch, and status flag output. It offers full integration, eliminating the need for additional components and reducing the cost and complexity of the design.The ADM1070ART-REEL7 can be used to control any type of power rail, including AC, DC and high-side switching, along with any type of power source, including Third-Party Power Supplies. It also features anti-reverse protection and varying voltage and current limits for different applications.The ADM1070ART-REEL7 provides a comprehensive set of features for system protection and control. The integrated current-sense amplifier, logic, and power FET drivers are designed to provide reliable, high-performance and cost-effective protection for rackmount applications. It also provides a digital output which can be used to indicate power status and current level.The ADM1070ART-REEL7 supports several key features such as current and voltage monitoring, over current protection, over temperature protection, and adjustable supply current limit, adjustable temperature limit, and adjustable frequency limit. Its adjustable frequency limit and adjustable current limit settings enable optimum system design. Additionally, these adjustable settings can be used to monitor multiple rail voltages, enabling a more efficient power system design.In addition to the typical hot-swapping function, the ADM1070ART-REEL7 can be used as a stand-alone power switch, offering two or three levels of direct control with a selectable slew rate.
