Working principle of ADM809TART-REEL

The ADM809TART-REEL is a low-power, low-cost, and easily expandable solution for power management applications. The device consists of a power-on reset circuit, a compare circuit, a voltage detect circuit, a watchdog timer circuit and a temperature alarm circuit. When the supply voltage rises above or falls below the preset upper and lower limit, the compare circuit detects the out of limit voltage and triggers a reset pulse. The reset pulse is sent to the power-on reset circuit which generates a reset signal and initiates the system reset.The voltage detect circuit continuously monitors the supply voltage, and can adjust the reference voltage automatically to provide better accuracy. The watchdog timer circuit provides periodic reset signals to reset the system when an external clock source is used. The temperature alarm circuit continuously monitors the system temperature and generates an alarm signal when the temperature exceeds the preset upper limit. This circuit can also detect and report the fault condition caused by overheating or aging of electronic components.
