ADS7142IRUGT is an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) provided by Texas Instruments operating in a wide range of applications including industrial, automotive, audio, robotics, and medical. This ADC is designed with a converter core voltage of 3V, providing a sampling rate of 32MSPS (Megasamples Per Second), and is able to convert one 16-bit differential channel, or two 8-bit single ended channels into a 4-wire serial digital stream.The ADS7142IRUGT is capable of sensing thermocouples, strain gauges, bridge sensors, RTDs, isolated transducers and other industrial process control signals. This ADC offers high accuracy and is able to detect temperature in a range of -55°C to 150°C, utilizing an integrated temperature sensor. The power consumption in active mode for this device is 800mW, making it ideal for data acquisition applications where power efficiency is a priority.The datasheet for the ADS7142IRUGT offers a detailed look at the device’s operating parameters, such as the maximum input voltage range (2.5V), power supply voltage range (3V), sampling frequency (32MSPS), data bits (14/16-bit), offset error (0.5mV max), and SINAD (82dB typ).
