The ADS7890IPFBRG4 is a monolithic integrated circuit consisting of low power CMOS logic and a low power operational amplifier (opamp). It includes an analog input multiplexer, a multi-bit Parallel-to-Serial Converter (PSC), an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a reference buffer, a charge redistribution DAC, digital output buffer, SPI, and shutdown control port.

The analog signal is first amplified by an opamp, and then passed to a multiplexer, which selects one of two analog inputs. The multiplexer output is then converted to a binary output in the PSC, representing each bit of resolution from the ADC. This converted binary output is then passed to the ADC, which is a successive approximation register (SAR).
