Temperature sensors, analog and digital output, are an important part of an electronic system. The ADT7411ARQZ-REEL is a simple and cost-effective temperature sensor on the market. It is designed for applications such as measuring temperature in air conditioners, refrigerators, and fans.
The ADT7411ARQZ-REEL utilizes an on-chip ambient temperature converter, allowing for accurate measurement of temperatures ranging from -25°C to +125°C.It is delivered in a tiny 10-pin, 4mm x 4mm package, and operates from either a 3.0V or 2.7V supply (voltage selection hinged on the PCB layout).
The chip features an internal oscillator and temperature conversion system using a simple, single-ended (analog) architecture. An 8-bit sigma-delta ADC performs the conversion from ambient temperature to a set of digital words which fit within the 3.3V power supply. Additionally, the ADT7411ARQZ-REEL offers digital output (I2C) that can be used to control ambient temperature with a high precision.
A direct connection of the ADT7411ARQZ-REEL to the PC board eliminates the need for any assembly or calibration steps. To ensure greater system reliability, the ADT7411ARQZ-REEL device has an internal temperature filter and a filter signal conditioning circuit to bias the readings against transient errors.
In addition, the ADT7411ARQZ-REEL includes an on-chip Shutdown feature that allows the user to reset the system once the device has reached its upper temperature limit. The Shutdown will begin to activate once the onboard temperature sensor reads a specific threshold. The ADT7411ARQZ-REEL is designed with all the requirements of safety/performance assurance in order to meet and exceed the requirements of all industries.
