Working Principle

The AEDT-9140-G00 absolute encoder adopts direct-coupling contactless magnetic detection technology. The installation is relatively simple and convenient. Its measurement range is 0-360° and the output resolution is 14 bits. This encoder transmits the relative angular information to the electronic control system, and eventually realize the angular detection, positioning and control.

The encoder works by initiating a current in the rotor windings. The resulting magnetic field is compared to the position of the markers on the reference rotor. The position is determined depending on whether the distance between two magnets is increasing or decreasing. The relative position information is then used to compute angle.
