An FPGA is a large programmable chip composed of multiple interconnected logic blocks. Each logic block contains several configurable logic elements and dedicated routing resources. FPGAs serve as a universal platform for the development of complex integrated systems in the embedded market.The AGLP060V5-CSG289I is a powerful mid-ranged FPGA from Xilinx. This device is an efficient and cost-effective solution for complex embedded designs requiring fast data processing and analysis. The AGLP060V5-CSG289I is a low-power FPGA with an integrated transceiver for serial protocol offload. The device is constructed in a low-profile 0.7-mil pitchBGA package.The AGLP060V5-CSG289I is based on the Virtex-5 FPGA architecture and has a maximum power consumption of 4.5 watts. This FPGA supports four high-speed transceivers operating up to 3.18 Gb/s, two LVDS differential buffers, two USB 2.0 ports, and two PCI Express x1 links. It also features two high-speed differential clocks, two internal clock multipliers, and nine independent clock output pins.This FPGA has a total usable logic gate count of 46K and measures 9.9mm x 10.6mm. The device features thirty-two dedicated memory blocks, which are composed of four RAM blocks, eight ROM blocks, and two expanded core blocks. Advanced power delivery, clock management, and I/O circuitry are also included on the device.
