The AH180N-WSG-7 is an open frame reed switch that detects proximity to a magnet. It activates in the presence of a magnet field at 4.8 Gm to 5.7 Gm (0.48 to 0.57 Tesla) and is deactivated or switched off when the magnet field decreases below this range. The switching process takes place in an extremely short time period between 4 to 8 milliseconds.

The AH180N-WSG-7 is easy to install and consists of a 2 wire connection lead and a snap fastener. The leads carry alternating current of circuit devices, and the snap fastener allows the device to be snapped and fixed into place quickly. The AH180N-WSG-7 is suitable for use with either 24 V AC/DC or 240 V AC/DC.
