Working Principle

The AHN21112 operates on a thermal bimetal principle. When an electrical current is applied to the relay, a heat sink located on the bimetal analyses the current and adjusts the temperature of the bimetal accordingly. When the temperature of the bimetal exceeds a certain threshold, the bimetal bends and moves an armature which in turn activates the switch.

The AHN21112 also features a contact protection system against dust and other particles that may be present in the atmosphere. This protection system minimizes the risk of arcing and potential fault conditions, increasing the life span of the relay.
