Working Principle

The AMCV-1206H-140-T is a Metal Oxide Core Varistor, MOV designed for operation in the overload/overvoltage protection circuit. When a voltage greater than the threshold voltage of the device is applied to the MOV, the zinc oxide grains within the compound will expand and contract, creating a variable resistance.
