AN33013UA-EVB-0 Evaluation Board is designed as a reference design board to offer support for the non-isolated step-down DC/DC converter AN33013UA. It is mainly used in the field of Offline AC/DC LED Driver as an evaluation board.The AN33013UA-EVB-0 evaluation board features a two-stage power system with an offline power factor correction (PFC) stage and a DC/DC converter stage. The PFC stage consists of an AC/DC rectifier bridge, half bridge with filter components and EMI filter circuit. The DC/DC stage includes a buck-boost converter with active PDM (pulse dimming modulation).In terms of the AN33013UA-EVB-0\'s working principle, the two-stage power system consists of a DC/DC stage to boost the voltage from the rectifier bridge and a PFC stage to rectify the AC voltage.The rectifier bridge will convert the 120V AC input voltage to DC and then the PFC stage will make sure that its current waveform is in phase with its voltage. This helps to reduce the ripple voltage and increase the power factor of the power system. The DC/DC converter will then boost the voltage as required.The offline PDM dimming module on the AN33013UA-EVB-0 evaluation board provides a dimming signal to the buck-boost converter. This dimming signal regulates the LED current from the rectifier bridge and PFC.
