Working Principle
In a DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS system, a power transistor switches the input voltage from an AC or DC source to the output voltage. The switching and control is done by the AN33014UA regulator IC. The IC includes various features such as cycle-by-cycle over-current protection, output voltage and current protection, and soft-start/restart. The IC also includes a number of safety features, such as over-temperature protection and over-voltage protection.
The AN33014UA-EVB-0 Evaluation Board provides circuitry to test the full performance of the AN33014UA regulator IC. The Evaluation Board includes the components necessary to safely and accurately evaluate the performance of the AN33014UA. With the Evaluation Board, designers can quickly and easily evaluate the performance of the IC and make adjustments to the circuit design as necessary.
