AOZ8811DI-05 TVS/Diodes is a low capacitance unidirectional protection component composed of one diode and a transistor with positive temperature coefficient (PTC). It has excellent clamping capability and ESD protection for data line applications. This device can be used in data lines with high and low operating voltage, like USB2.0, USB3.0, SATA, HDMI, DVI, MIPI, LVDS, and etc. AOZ8811DI-05 is also ideal for high frequency, high speed interfaces with pulse widths up to 30ns.

The AOZ8811DI-05 works by providing protection for data lines against transient surges and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). AOZ8811DI-05 contains a PTC temperature sensing element and a diode for providing protection in both directions of the data line. The circuit is configured in such way that when the normal operating voltage of the data line triggers the PTC, the diode is activated, clamping the voltage until it returns to normal. ESD events activate both the PTC and diode thus providing a low impedance path to the ground, for both positive and negative transient voltages.

The AOZ8811DI-05 also offers low clamping voltage, low clamping voltage, low power consumption and excellent surge immunity. It also features a low capacitance of 0.8pF, making it ideal for high frequency applications, as it minimizes signal distortion. The low capacitance also avoids signal reflections on the high speed data lines.

The AOZ8811DI-05 provides ultra-low capacitance protection of the signal lines, eliminating the need for additional bypass capacitors or signal integrity components.
