The AP3440FNTR-G1 is a Switching Regulator PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) that provides regulated output from a variety of input power sources. This adaptation of the popular AP3440 family of PMICs designed specifically to perform in Industrial, Automotive and Consumer applications. The device provides a regulated output voltage ranging from 0.6V to 5.5V with a maximum output current sourcing of 3A. It is optimized to provide the lowest dropout voltage (280mV @ 1A) and the highest efficiency (90% @ 2A) with a constant 1A output current. The AP3440FNTR-G1 comes in a through-hole PowerPAD package with a 10-pin 1.27mm pitch. The design features auto-reset protection, cycle-by-cycle current limit, thermal monitor and programmable output voltage, making it suitable for a wide range of power management applications.

The AP3440FNTR-G1 is a DC-DC switching regulator that uses a fixed frequency current mode, PWM, to control its output voltage. The switching frequency may be adjusted from 200kHz to 1 MHz.
