The AP7342D-3330FS6-7 is a linear regulator from the AP7342 family of voltage regulators. It is a two-phase switching regulator with a wide input voltage range, low noise operation and highly efficient operation. The AP7342D-3330FS6-7 is capable of providing up to an output current of 5A with a voltage range of 0.8V to 6.0V in 0.1V steps. The device is capable of switching up to 2.8MHz and comes in a 2.54 x 2.54mm package with a 3-pin (VIN, VOUT and GND) interface. The AP7342D-3330FS6-7 is commonly used in applications such as telecom and industrial power supplies, computing, consumer electronics and automotive. The device is capable of providing an output current of up to 5A with a wide input voltage range of 5V to 36V. The device features a low dropout voltage (2.5V typical) and a high ripple rejection ratio (60dB typical). It also features Over-Voltage protection (OVP) and Under-Voltage protection (UVP) for complete safety and reliability. The AP7342D-3330FS6-7 linear regulator works by utilizing a Buck or Buck-Boost topology which is a type of switching regulator. These regulators switch between two power sources and regulate the output voltage within a predetermined range. The device operates in two phases, first the high side MOSFET is turned on and the inductor current rises, storing energy in it, then the low side MOSFET is turned on and the energy is released, supplying the output voltage. The output voltage is regulated by varying the duty cycle of the two MOSFETs, depending on the difference between the output voltage and the feedback voltage. The AP7342D-3330FS6-7 is a reliable and efficient linear regulator for a variety of applications.
