Working Principle

AS1345A-BWLT-17 switching regulator is based on a buck-boost topology and is capable of producing an output voltage greater than, equal to, or less than the input voltage. The switching regulator consists of an integrated switching MOSFET, control circuitry, and a feedback network for regulating the output voltage. When the voltage at the output terminal changes, the error amplifier senses the changes and sends the appropriate signals to the control circuitry, which then modulates the pulses of the switching MOSFET, thus changing the duty cycle. This in turn changes the average voltage at the output terminal, thereby regulating the output voltage. The AS1345A-BWLT-17 also features an ultra low dropout operating mode, where the output voltages is regulated even in cases where the input voltage is close to the output voltage.
