The AS13985F26_ EK_ST evaluation board is an integrated linear power supply designed for power management applications. It is an efficient, easy-to-use and high-level management system solution for development and evaluation of linear voltage regulator applications. It offers a wide range of features, from enhanced design flexibility to optimized energy efficiency and cost saving solutions.

The AS13985F26_ EK_ST evaluation board implements the AS13985F26-ST linear voltage regulator, which is a highly versatile, cost-effective and efficient solution for applications such as power conditioning and regulation, charging control, server and datacenter power conversion, and motion control systems. This regulator can provide tight regulation of the output power, and achieves very high efficiency even at low output power levels. It also supports a wide input voltage range from 6V to 28V, which can be used in multi-rail designs with different output voltages.

The linear voltage regulator\'s working principle is based on the voltage divider theory. The input voltage is divided between two resistors- the lower one being connected to the reference voltage, and the higher one being connected to the output voltage. The output voltage is then regulated by changing the resistance of one of the resistors, thus changing the voltage difference between the two resistors. The output voltage can be regulated by changing the resistance of either the lower or the higher resistor.

The AS13985F26_ EK_ST evaluation board contains an MCU-based power supply controller, a multimedia codec and an audio converter.
