AS3823-ZQFT is an integrated PMIC – LED indicator driver IC, designed and manufactured by Alpha and Omega Semiconductor. The device is suitable for various types of display and backlight applications, including tablets, notebooks, and handsets.
The AS3823-ZQFT is housed in a 6-pin QFN package with a 0.4 mm pitch, and offers a 30V maximum operation voltage. The device operates over an extended -40℃ to +85℃ temperature range and features a low operating current of only 280 μA. It also supports up to 6w of power on its high-side drive.
The device has an integrated analog dimming circuit which allows it to dim the LED current according to the user’s desired level. It also has an LED open-circuit protection feature to protect the LED from damage if the circuit is disconnected. Moreover, the AS3823-ZQFT also features a wide dimming range of 1% to 100%, a PWM frequency of up to 1KHz, and a maximum power output of 36W.
