The ASCX01DN is a high-accuracy digital pressure sensor which can measure up to 9,000 psi and has an accuracy of 0.01% full-scale. The sensor is designed to operate in a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +100°C and has a permanent digital calibration algorithm which can be used for self diagnosis and automatic temperature compensation. The sensor also has a EMC protection which ensures it is immune to interference from external electromagnetic sources, making it suitable for use in a wide range of applications. Additionally, the ASCX01DN has an I2C/SPI output which makes it easy to connect to a variety of digital interfaces.

The operation of the ASCX01DN is based on the use of a sensing element which is linked to a diaphragm. A piezoresistive element in the diaphragm is in contact with a reference resistive element and when exposed to pressure variations, the piezoresistive element changes its resistance in proportion to the pressure. The reference element measures the change in resistance and then amplifies the signal. The amplified signal is then sent to the analog-to-digital converter which captures the pressure reading.
