AT29LV512-15JC is a single-chip non-volatile memory device specially designed for automotive applications. AT29LV512-15JC Working Principle

The AT29LV512-15JC is a 512K bit CMOS non-volatile memory device organized as 32K x 16 bits. The device operates from a single power supply of either 5.0 V (+/- 10%) or 3.3 V (+/- 10%), and can be programmed in-system or in-circuit. The device has three different operating modes, namely Standby, Read and Program/Erase, which can be selected via the CE and OE pins. When the device is placed in Standby mode, it draws only 4 μA of current, making it extremely power efficient.

For programming and erasing the device, the CE, OE and PROG functions can be set using the CE and OE pins. When programming or erasing the data stored in the device, the cells in the array must be correctly aligned, allowing easy access and manipulation of the data. For fast word access connected to a microprocessor interface, the AT29LV512-15JC features an 8-bit port control and 16-bit data access (I/D, R/W and A/D) mode. The device also includes a RESET function that allows the device to be reset under user-selected conditions.
