The AT90PWM316-16MU microcontroller is specially designed to provide an optimized solution to a wide variety of consumer and automotive applications, such as motor control, industrial automation, consumer home appliance control, remote control, and many more. This microcontroller can be used for low-end applications adding real-time control functions, as well as for more sophisticated applications requiring more powerful computing capability. The AT90PWM316-16MU microcontroller is well-suited for controlling motors, as well as other home appliances such as air-conditioners, refrigerators, microwaves, and washing machines.

The AT90PWM316-16MU microcontroller features a built-in 8-bit RISC AVR processor, which provides a maximum operating frequency of 16MHz. Additionally, it includes an 8-channel Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller, which provides improved motor control and a 16-bit Analog-to-Digital (A/D) converter, making it ideal for real-time monitoring and data acquisition applications.
