ATMEGA168-15MD is an 8-bit microcontroller with advanced RISC architecture from ATmegaAVR family. It is based on AVR enhanced RISC (reduced instruction set computing) architecture for high computational speed. This microcontroller is equipped with a range of peripherals like USART (universal synchronous asynchronous receiver transmitter) and TWI (two wire interface) for serial communication. There are also two 8-bit timer/counter, one 16-bit timer/counter, and four 8-bit PWM (pulse width modulation) channels. All these features make ATMEGA168-15MD a suitable choice for embedded systems.
