The ATTINY25-15ST is an 8-bit AVR Microcontroller from the ATtiny series of microcontrollers which have an 8-bit RISC core, flash memory, SRAM memory and analog comparator. It has an advanced RISC core which allows it to execute powerful instructions in a single clock cycle. It operates up to 20MHz, contains a total of 16Kbytes of program memory, and I/O ports. It is a fully static device with no external RAM, ROM or EPROM.

The ATTINY25-15ST is used in many applications such as automotive applications, industrial applications, medical systems, consumer appliances and home automation. In automotive systems it is used in automotive monitors, engine control, power windows, climate control, security systems and navigation. In industrial applications it is used in industrial automation, machine control and control of industrial equipment. In medical systems it is used in patient monitoring, drug monitoring, and in-patient monitoring. Consumer applications include digital cameras, digital video recorders, mobile phones, MP3 players and other consumer electronics.

The ATTINY25-15ST features 16KB of flash program memory, 1KB of SRAM, 512 bytes of EEPROM, 4KB of boot code, internal oscillator, 4-wire debug interface and I/O ports. It also has an analog comparator, 8-channel 8-bit analog-to-digital converter and 10-bit pulse width modulation. It provides efficient power management with low power consumption. It has various built-in peripherals such as 16-bit timer/counter, watchdog timer, real time clock and UART.

In terms of working principle, the ATTINY25-15ST uses a processor architecture called reduced instruction set computers (RISC). This is a simplified instruction set that reduces the number of instructions needed to encode instructions, thereby reducing the total number of instructions to be fetched from memory, decoded and executed.
