TVS-Diodes, also known as transient voltage suppression diodes, have been around for quite some time and are widely used for protecting against damaging transients caused by electrostatic discharges, lightning strikes, and other similar sources of high voltage transients. They are used in a variety of applications such as automotive, industrial, telecom, consumer electronics, medical, and military applications. The ATV04A101J-HF is a type of TVS diode that is specifically designed to provide protection from ESD pulses with frequencies up to 1GHz.

The ATV04A101J-HF devices are fabricated using silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology which offers superior performance and reliability in ESD protection.
