The AU2PM-M3/86A is a designed for high-power rectification. It is a versatile, high frequency, transition-mode power semiconductor device that offers an excellent choice for general purpose AC/DC bridge rectification. The device is well-suited for a variety of applications such as LED lighting and EV charging.This diode is constructed with a two-terminal symmetrical bridge rectifier, formed by two series-driven 40A power Gesanker diodes connected in a full-wave bridge topology. The connected semiconductor construction creates a very efficient, low-loss, low-time-constant, rectification circuit. The device is also designed to minimize current stress, voltage stress, and thermal stress by providing dynamic balance for the high frequency power rectification.The AU2PM-M3/86A is designed to work with any AC/DC bridge rectification circuit. It has a dead-time of 30ns, dynamic balance of standard 20A, and takes a maximum forward voltage of 50V. It is designed with good protection for short circuit, overtemperature and overvoltage. The low dynamic balance (Db) guarantees low thermal stress, which together with low turn-on and turn-off times (ton and toff) offers high power efficiency and fast response to transients.When the AU2PM-M3/86A is applied to a Bridge Rectifier circuit it works as follows: In order for a given Bridge Rectifier circuit to generate a DC voltage output, it must contain both a positive and a negative leg, connected in parallel across a load. Applying a positive voltage to one of the two legs and a negative voltage to the other leg will cause the current to flow through the two legs and the diode. During this process the diode will conduct current in the direction of the negative voltage where the low voltage drop across the diode will increase the DC output voltage.The AU2PM-M3/86A is an ideal diode for high-current and high-power applications. Its low turn-on and turn-off time reduces switching losses and it has low dynamic balance that increases efficiency. The device is designed for a wide range of applications from high efficiency LED lighting designs, industrial power supplies, to EV charging and other power electronics applications. It has good protection features for short circuit, overvoltage and overtemperature conditions, making it a reliable and safe choice for your power electronic design needs.
