AUIPS7081S is a Proprietary Power Distribution Switch IC with High Low Side MOSFET Drivers developed by ON Semiconductor. The device is an ultra-low power side gate driver IC that combines a high speed gate driver in the smallest package with a low-side MOSFET gate driver for low voltage and desktop applications.The AUIPS7081S provides high side and low side gate driver capabilities for single-phase, dual-input, or multi-phase DC/DC and loads supplies, and provides power supply control for high-speed gate drivers and low-side MOSFET drivers.The AUIPS7081S allows designers to combine the flexibility of a high-side, low-side gate driver in one package to support multi-phase, dual-input, or side-by-side DC/DC and load supply applications. This high-side, low-side gate driver architecture results in an overall superior performance and higher efficiency of the system.The AUIPS7081S integrates low on resistance (RDS(ON) ) MOSFETs and provides high peak current capability, often critical in digital power applications, while consuming very low quiescent current, resulting in superior power efficiency. The device also supports separate and independent control of the high-side and low-side gate drivers. The independent control of the two gate drivers allows for the use of two NCV7240s in a given design, or can easily be configured for use in single-phase, dual-input, or multi-phase DC/DC and load supplies.The AUIPS7081S\'s high current driving capability provides for fast turn-on and turn-off characteristics for the MOSFETs, allowing for extremely high frequency switching and improved efficiency. Furthermore, the device\'s low quiescent current ensures minimal power dissipation even during full load operation, increasing overall power efficiency.The AUIPS7081S’s excellent switching characteristics, low off-time distortion, low EMI, high current driving capability and wide supply voltage range makes it suitable for low voltage desktop application and DC/DC converters operating at higher frequencies.In addition, the device\'s wide operating range enables it to be easily integrated into various systems and applications, including digital power application- Power Manager, Load Driver, System Power Manager, Low voltage power supply, DC/DC converters, and Portable Electronics.
