Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, also known as aluminum electrolytics or electrolytic capacitors, are polarized capacitors with an anode made of pure aluminum foil with an etched surface, covered with an insulating layer or oxide film. They also have a liquid electrolyte solution of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) which acts as the dielectric layer between the aluminum anode and a cathode foil made of carbon or manganese dioxide. Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are used in many electronic applications ranging from power supply, industrial controls, and automotive electronics.The most common type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor is the B43084F2336M, a radial electrolytic capacitor with a maximum operating temperature of 85°C.
