It is a sealed type capacitor with a cathode and an anode. The aluminum foil of the cathode and anode have a high capacitance per unit length. The formed layer of electrochemical aluminum oxide provides the dielectric, creating an electric field which allows energy storage.The application fields of the B43086A5336M AEC cover a wide range including the power electronics, communications and signal conditioning circuits. The main advantages of B43086A5336M AECs are their large capacitance, high voltage rating, high ripple current and excellent temperature characteristics. Their low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and long life time also attract more and more users who need high quality components.The working principle of the B43086A5336M AEC is simple but efficient. In operation, a negative voltage is applied to the anode and a positive voltage to the cathode thus creating a potential difference between the plates. This attracts an electric current and a charge is stored in the electrochemical layer. When the voltage is removed, the plates are left with an electrostatic field which restricts further current flow.
