Aluminum Electrolytic CapacitorsAn aluminum electrolytic capacitor is an electronic component of an electrical circuit, composed of a metal case, an electrolyte, and two plate-type electrodes. Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are typically regarded as having greater capacitance than other types of capacitors, such as film capacitors. A capacitor of this type is used to store and to discharge electric energy and to increase the power of a circuit. The B43252A2158M is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor specifically designed for AC ripple current and long-life applications. It is built with an aluminum canister housing two aluminum foil electrodes, and is enclosed in a polypropylene sleeve. The capacitor core consists of a single wound aluminum foil with an anode and cathode terminal connected to each end. The B43252A2158M operates via the \'double-layer effect\'. Electric charge is stored in two layers of material—an anode layer and a cathode layer that are separated by the electrolyte solution. When an increasing AC voltage is applied, an increasing electric charge is stored on each layer. When the voltage reaches a certain peak point, known as the breakdown voltage, a current occurs, due to the electric charges on the anode and cathode layers and a current of equal strength but opposite direction is created between the two layers. The current is controlled by an internal resistor. This phenomenon is known as reverse leakage current. The capacitor can store and discharge the electric charge repeatedly and constantly, resulting in a constant exchange of charge between the two layers that produces power. The B43252A2158M aluminum electrolytic capacitor can measure up to 158μF, and its rated voltage is up to 63V. It is particularly well-suited for circuits using high-frequency low-voltage AC input currents. It is an excellent choice for high-energy applications such as AC stabilizers, LED ballasts, AC inverters and other similar applications. It is also suitable for surge-pulse use in automotive and consumer electronics, as well as for use in photography equipment, electrical meters, engines, relays, minor motors and more. A few of the B43252A2158M\'s features include a low ESR for excellent noise immunity and long-life operation. It boasts a high ripple-current capacity with very low dissipation factor, and can withstand 210℃ reflow soldering with a no-damage temperature coefficient for both voltage and ripple current. The capacitor also offers a dielectric absorption ratio of greater than 0.1%, and has a highly reliable capacitance value iteration.
