Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are widely used in the applications to store electric energy and filter pulsed voltage and signals. These capacitors consist of an anode, cathode and an electrolyte, and rely on the principle of electrolysis charge and discharge for operation.

B43455A2338M000 is a type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor. It has a compact shape, low ESR and wide range of temperature coefficient of capacitance. It can provide a large voltage noise suppression and withstand high inrush current surge. This type of capacitor is mainly used in noise filtering circuits, high-frequency power supplies, solar power systems, stepper motors and LED lighting applications.
The working principle of an electrolytic capacitor can be explained as follows. It comes into operation once the electric charge is applied to its terminals in order to create a potential difference between anode and cathode allowing electrons to flow from anode to cathode. Electrolyte enables the electrons to flow and charge is stored on the anode side. This working principle is known as “electrolytic effect”.
Once the charge is removed, a reverse current is generated, discharging the stored electrons from the anode back to the cathode. This makes the electrolytic capacitor capable to store and release electric energy. This process continues providing constant voltage when the applied voltage is constant.
B43455A2338M000 aluminum electrolytic capacitor can withstand extreme operations, like high inrush current surge, because of its high capacitance and voltage ratings. The capacitance of this capacitor range is 15µF to 500µF with a dielectric strength of 400V DC. It has a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C, low ESR of 0.027 Ω and tribo ratings of up to 50g. It comes with axial lead, radial lead and snap-in terminals.
