The working principle of B43601E2567M80 aluminum electrolytic capacitors is the same as other aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Aluminum electrolytic capacitors consist of an anode and a cathode, with an electrolyte between them. The anode is made of an aluminum foil whose surface is treated to create a high number of tiny pores. An oxide film forms at the pore walls. This film serves as the dielectric layer of the capacitor. During capacitor assembly, a cathode foil is placed against the aluminum electrolytic anode foil. The electrolyte, usually a liquid or solid electrolyte, is placed between the two metal layers.When voltage is applied to the capacitor, electrons flow to the anode while the electrolyte ions flow to the cathode, forming a layer of charge. This charge, along with the oxide layer, creates an electric field, which in turn produces the capacitance that stores energy in the capacitor. As current passes through the capacitor, some of the energy is dissipated due to the ESR, or Equivalent Series Resistance, of the capacitor. At high frequencies, electrolytic capacitors can develop significant losses. This is due to skin effect anddielectric absorption, both of which reduce the effects of the oxide layer and thus reduce the capacitance.
