The BAS40-05-HE3-08 is a rectifier array made up of four independent pieces of silicon. It is designed for applications in automotive, consumer, industrial and computing. Each silicon piece consists of three serial p-type rectifiers connected in parallel with a common anode and an integrated guard ring to protect against avalanche breakdown.The BAS40-05-HE3-08 has a maximum continuous current rating of 8A and a maximum forward voltage drop of 600 mV. It also has a maximum reverse voltage rating of 6V. The guard ring also provides additional robustness to the array, allowing it to withstand higher voltage pulses.The BAS40-05-HE3-08 is used in applications such as bridges to invert the direction of the power flow, or to isolate two circuits. Another application is rectification of alternating current.
