BAS85 L0G Application Field and Working Principle

BAS85 L0G is a class of plug-in logarithmic amplifiers and detectors used in a wide range of applications. When used in extreme conditions (high temperature and/or high voltage), the plug-in series is recommended for longer operational life and higher reliability.

The first stage is the logarithmic current injection, which is generated by a high gain operational amplifier. The amplitude of this current is proportional to the input signal, allowing for precise control of the logarithmic response. Next, the low power control stage is used to monitor the supply voltage of the amplifier and detector. This allows the logarithmic response to be adjusted in order to compensate for variations in temperature.

The combination of the high gain operational amplifier and low power control stage allows the BAS85 to produce an accurate logarithmic response in a wide range of applications.
