Single-phase full-wave rectification is a kind of rectification method which uses two diodes to connect two input electrodes.BAT54FILM diodes are mainly used in the fields of power supply, drive circuit and communication circuit, which has a wide range of applications. The operation of the single-phase full-wave rectification is to use two diodes to connect two input electrodes, as shown in the figure. The alternating current of the AC power supply passes through both diodes in turn at different times, so as to realize the input of the direct current.
The working principle of single-phase full-wave rectification is based on the nature of the diode. When the positive half cycle of the AC power supply input from the input terminal is applied, the diode can be turned on, while the diode can not be turned on in the negative half cycle, so the diode is in the non-directional state. So, the two diodes are arranged in inverse parallel, and each half cycle can be used to give the direct current output. During the effective period, one of the two diodes will provide forward directionality, while the other diode gives reverse directionality. During the alternate period, reverse directed flow will be provide by first diode, while the second one will provide forward directed flow.
Due to the application of rectifier circuits in single-phase full-wave rectification, the BAT54FILM diodes are also widely used in this application field. The BAT54FILM single-chip diodes with a double-layer epitaxial structure are mainly composed of silicon rods with a bipolar integrated PN junction structure and a doping layer that provides a low resistance path. The main technical parameters of BAT54FILM single-chip diodes used in rectifier circuits meet the needs of corresponding circuits, and the advantages of low power consumption, low forward voltage drop and fast switching speed can be obtained under the premise of ensuring sufficient current conduction.
In order to further improve the power conditioning capabilities of the rectifier circuits, BAT54FILM diodes also use various secondary processing techniques, such as a PIV (peak inverse voltage) design to improve the peak inverse working voltage of the diode, EPI (Epitaxial oxidation layer) technology to reduce the leakage current in the high voltage state, and natural convection technology to reduce the internal temperature rise. The above techniques are used to make the BAT54FILM diodes more suitable for rectifier applications.
