Working Principle
BD9327EFJ-LBE2 is a current mode DC-DC switching regulator which is based on buck converter topology. It converts a higher input voltage to a lower output voltage with efficiency which is similar to a buck converter. The switching regulator consists of an internal power switch and an error amplifier as well as an external Schottky diode. The internal error amplifier senses and amplifies the output voltage and compares it with the reference voltage. When current is flowing from the pulse width modulation (PWM) comparator, an N-MOSFET is switched ON and current is supplied to the load. When the switch is switched OFF, current will be transferred to the output capacitor via the external Schottky diode.
The BD9327EFJ-LBE2 includes over-current protection, over-temperature protection, under voltage lockout, and short-circuit protection. The internal error amplifier also provides a high accuracy and low dropout voltage. This chip produces a low ripple noise and consumes a low power. Therefore, it is an ideal chip for wide range of voltage and current levels with high efficiency.
