The BD9328EFJ-EVK Evaluation Board is a versatile off-line application board designed to evaluate BD9328EFJ switching regulators in various adapter, charger, and ac/dc switching applications. It incorporates the industry leading BD9328EFJ converter, a high efficiency 700kHz/200kHz fixed PWM frequency, current mode control IC and an opto-coupler feedback of 0.12V to 5V output voltage range. It supports an input voltage range of 85VAC-265VAC and features a variety of control and protection functions, including overload protection, short circuit protection, soft-start, thermal shutdown, and high-frequency switching. The DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS application field of the BD9328EFJ-EVK is relevant to adapter, charger, and ac/dc switching applications.

The BD9328EFJ-EVK Evaluation Board is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the BD9328EFJ in such applications. The board operates an input voltage range of 90V to 264V AC, and provides an adjustable output voltage range of 0.12V to 5V. The power switch features a high efficiency 70/200kHz fixed frequency current mode control with a 100uA reference current and 10MHz switch frequency. The protection functions include over-current protection, short circuit protection, soft-start, thermal shutdown, and high frequency switching. The control functions are enabled by a voltage feedback loop with an opto-coupler.

The working principle of the BD9328EFJ-EVK Evaluation Board is based on the switching regulator module.
