The on-chip charge control supports one-cell Li-ion batteries with a simple interface to the magnetic field (BQ2031SN) or ceramic dielectric resonator (TE25VDC1) sensor solution. The magnetic and dielectric resonator interfaces are designed to minimize or eliminate external components such as matched coils or capacitors while enabling reliable one-cell Li-ion battery charging.

The BQ2031SN-A5TR is designed to monitor and protect Li-ion cells. It provides fast cell protection against overcharge and over-discharge conditions by constantly monitoring the cell voltage and temperature. The BQ2031SN-A5TR supports a wide input voltage range and features a common option for input current limit and charge current settings. It also includes fast production programming for both voltage and current parameters with time settings for pre-charge, fast charge, and termination.

The device also offers extensive system performance options such as SMBus programming and remote on/off control. Additionally, the BQ2031SN-A5TR includes data collection and production test for host systems. The device supports a wide range of temperature monitor circuits to enable effective thermal protection.
