BR1D50AC is a high performance integrated switching regulator with a wide range of application and working principle. It can be used in a variety of applications including motor control, LCD backlighting, white LED lighting, DC/DC converters, DC to multi-phase converters, voltage-mode/current mode converters, and so on. The BR1D50AC is based on a flexible, high performance switching regulator developed by STMicroelectronics, the high enhancing capability of which allows the user to precisely configure the working point of the switching regulator. As a result, the BR1D50AC is now increasingly accepted as a reliable and efficient alternative to the conventional analog linear regulators.

BR1D50AC works as a power supply that converts the input voltage into a required output voltage. It utilizes switch to control the flow of electric current, and allows current to pass through for a certain amount of time before directing it elsewhere.
