Working Principle
The BTS6144P is a 4-channel low-side protected load switch IC designed to distribute power and control the current load in automotive and industrial applications. The device consists of four channels that are independently controlled by four externally driven logic level signals. Each channel has an output stage with a series connection of P-channel MOSFETs, a fast protection circuit, a reverse voltage protection circuit, and an over-temperature protection circuit. These protection and control circuits ensure that the BTS6144P has a high level of protection when operating at high input voltages, high temperatures, and in reverse voltage mode.
The BTS6144P’s low on-resistance of the output transistors allow for a wide range of load current management options.
