This device is ideal for managing current in high-performance voltage regulators, power factor correction, power controller and digital power system solutions.The BTS712N1XUMA1 is a highly integrated MOSFET switch and load driver that provides diagnostic solutions for digital power system solutions. The device has eight built-in, independently selectable channels, allowing it to be used in applications such as channel segmentation, over-current/over-voltage protection and distributed power conversion solutions. It offers configurable over-voltage and over-current protection, meaning it can protect against risks associated with accidental component failure, wrong component selection and mis-configuration. It also features an integrated UVLO (Under-voltage Lockout) function, which ensures that the device locks up and shuts off before the voltage to the device drops below a certain threshold.The BTS712N1XUMA1 also has integrated Diagnostic Registers, which act as a “black box” for digital power systems. These registers record the FET status (whether it is ON or OFF), current, voltage and temperature/power measurements from each of the eight channels at a given time. The recorded information can then be used to debug any power system related issues.The device also has an adjustable current guardband, which allows it to survive any current or voltage overloads or cross-conduction failures. This device also offers a “Sleep” mode, which reduces power consumption to only 2-4µA.In addition, the BTS712N1XUMA1 has integrated dead-time generation and adjustable output current in order to optimize system performance.
