Working Principle of BYM07-100-E3/98

Secondly, when the voltage across the diode reaches the threshold voltage of its gate, the gate will conduct and a large current will flow through the gate, turning it on. At this point, the diode is called a turn-on condition. Finally, if the current increases, it will eventually reach the critical current of the diode, causing it to turn off. This is the reverse bias condition, where the diode no longer conducts current.
