Introduction

BYM07-150HE3/98 is a type of three-pin disc-type single-phase bridge rectifier, also commonly known as “diode bridge rectifier”. It can be used to convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). Though small in size, it has strong power-handling capacity at an inexpensive cost.

Working Principle

D2 will conduct from A to K, whereas D4 will conduct from A to J. When the polarity of the voltage source is reversed, D1 and D3 will conduct, allowing current to flow from K to A, and from J to A.
