The CAT4139TD-GT3 is a Low Voltage Automotive LED Driver. It is most commonly used in automotive Illuminated Entry and Operating Systems, Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) for Map Lights, Interior and Dash Lights, Door & Luggage Compartment Lights, Vanity Mirrors, Boot Release Lights, Puddle Lights, as well as Glove Box, Foot Well and Center Console Lighting. The CAT4139TD-GT3 is a Low-Voltage, Synchronous, Step-Down Automotive LED Driver for Low Voltage Automotive Illuminated Signage. The device provides the current-limited, efficient drive of up to five LEDs in series, discretely, or up to 32 LEDs connected in parallel. It offers dimming control with either a dedicated dimmer or low-voltage PWM input. The source current can be adjusted using a single resistor, which enables easy adjustment of the LED brightness. In addition, each output can be individually switched on to regulate the current in each LED string.

The CAT4139TD-GT3 features a wide input voltage range (4V to 18V), high switch frequency (1MHz/2MHz), current mode control, as well as protections against over-temperature, open-lamp, and over-current conditions. It also offers power save mode, which is suitable for applications with long off-times. This feature helps to reduce the time it takes for the LED dimmer to react, and allows it to respond immediately when the LED is turned off and then back on.

For applications where a high degree of dimming flexibility is desired, the CAT4139TD-GT3 can be controlled through a dedicated dimmer pin, offering a linear dimming range from 0% to 85%. If a low-voltage PWM input is used, a range of 0% to 60% dimming can be achieved, providing a smooth dimming range for dimmable LED lighting.
