The CAT853TTBI-GT3 is a reset circuit that provides an active reset to the application, without any additional external components. It enables automatic reset of the microcontroller by monitoring its input voltages, current, power states and temperature. The CAT853TTBI-GT3 is fitted with an integrated temperature sensor to enable reset across a wide temperature range.

When a critical level of operating temperature is reached, or for any other issues, the CAT853TTBI-GT3 will enter into the Reset Mode. In this mode, the device will cause an active reset, which involves shutting down the supporting power rails, performing diagnostic operations, and power terminating the system to ensure safe and secure resets are performed in time. This mode additionally allows for a graceful power down of the system.

The CAT853TTBI-GT3 incorporates a complex analog and digital feature set in a 21 pin WLP (Wafer Level Packaging) package. This enables saving board size, parts count and increasing overall system performance.
