A PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) is a device that works with various power sources to provide power management and energy saving for microprocessors, peripherals, and other components. The reset outputs have an in-built 1 second timer and can be routed to the system reset pin, NMI or SMI input or a GPIO pin.
The CAX809RTBI-T3 is designed to use the supply voltage as the primary reset source. It monitors the supply voltage and generates a reset if the supply voltage drops below a pre-defined trip voltage level. It also has an override reset input which can be used to force a system reset independent of the supply voltage.
